Resumen

CAMBERO-AYON, C. B. et al. Causal agents of rot in Soursop fruit (Annona muricata L.) in Nayarit, Mexico. Revista bio ciencias [online]. 2019, vol.6, e538.  Epub 18-Mar-2020. ISSN 2007-3380.  https://doi.org/10.15741/revbio.06.e538.

The state of Nayarit is the main producer of Annona muricata in Mexico, however, the state production is affected by fruit rots and the causal agent has not been determined until now. The objective of the current work was to identify the causal agent(s) of soursop fruit rots in the state of Nayarit, for which samplings were carried out during the year 2017 in the municipalities of San Blas and Compostela. Five fungal genus associated to dry rot and five fungal genus to soft rot fungi were isolated and identified by pathogenicity tests on healthy soursop fruits and then with molecular identification. Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (access code KX960784.1) and Pestalotiopsis sp. (access code KX960814.1) were identified to be the cause of dry rots, while the fungus Lasiodiplodia pseudotheobromae (access code MH062942.1) were identified to be responsible for soft rots in soursop fruit in Nayarit, Mexico.

Palabras llave : Isolated; phytopathogenic fungi; pathogenicity tests.
