Resumen
SAHUEZA, María Soledad. Dictadura y reconciliación: una revisión del caso chileno desde el pensamiento de Hannah Arendt. En-clav. pen [online]. 2013, vol.7, n.13, pp.137-147. ISSN 2594-1100.
From the philosophical perspective of Hannah Arendt, in this article I will discuss why I believe that Chile is not a country politically reconciled, although 21 years have passed since the end of the military dictatorship of General Augusto Pinochet. The notion of reconciliation that the author demonstrates, leads us to state the existence of three gaps in the Chilean political community. This could not be prevented by the policies implemented to promote reconciliation after the first democratic government in 1990. Those gaps are: lack of trial and punishment, lack of responsibility, as well as lack of understanding and judgment. This has led to the absence of the common political world and perpetuated the fracture in the Chilean community, which has impeded a social reconciliation, and, in its place has achieved nothing more than a peaceful coexistence.
