Clenbuterol is a beta agonist with anabolic and lipolytic properties, is approved for use in humans as a bronchodilator and is currently used among athletes as a drug of abuse. Illegal use of clenbuterol in cattle feed causes outbreaks of intoxication due to the consumption of meat or viscera. The most frequent manifestations are tachycardia, anxiety, tremors, vertigo, palpitations, weakness, headache, nausea, myalgias, paraesthesia, hypokalemia and transient hyperglycemia. Management is to prevent the cardiovascular and metabolic consequences, with the replacement of electrolytes. We present the case of two patients, who came in less than a month with adrenergic symptomatology, due to clenbuterol intoxication after the ingestion of beef liver, the predominant symptoms were tachycardia, hypertension, tremor and anxiety.
