The objective of this is article is to give an account of some civil society organizations that work with homeless people in the city of Buenos Aires.This is important because since 2016 there has been a worrying increase in this population, which is why it is important to analyze the organizations linked to this problem. Accordingly, some secular institutions will be examined according to the following questions: when they were created, forms of organization, objectives, financing, and relationship with the State. The article is based on a series of interviews carried out during 2019 and 2021 and the results show both the different forms of action of the organizations, as well as their role in civil society and their specific importance in relation to the ways of living of people living on the street.The work contributes both to social studies referred to civil society organizations, as well as to urban studies.
