Resumen

ROSAS RODRIGUEZ, Beatriz  y  KATO VIDAL, Enrique Leonardo. Labor Skills and Regional Performance in Mexico. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2019, vol.19, n.60, pp.203-239. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20191330.

Labor skills and productive specialization may create a desirable economic dynamic. At the subnational level, different growth dynamics can be observed due to circular cumulative causation. To estimate the relationship between the reconfiguration of labor skills, labor migration, and regional performance; the population census and the employment survey of Mexico were used. It was found that (1) labor migration to states with agglomerations fosters greater job creation and (2) the regions expelling population had less job creation, mainly in highly qualified jobs.

Palabras llave : jobs; internal migration; Circular Cumulative Causation; externality.
