This article presents the numerical simulation of the temperature control for a second order model of concentrated parameters obtained from Newton's law of cooling. The model considers a thermal system of concentrated parameters, whose substances are characterized by a resistance to heat flow and have a thermal capacitance, which usually have heat loss. Therefore, it is found a model based on a transfer function that allows implementing a controller capable of optimizing the cost function and taking advantage of the performance with the least loss of energy. For this, a proportional derivative (PD) controller is used under the tuning of a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) that allows minimizing the performance criteria. Finally, the results and conclusions are presented, which allow validating the performance of the proposed model and the implemented controller.
