Resumen
ESPINOZA MELENDEZ, Pedro. Texts, Deconstruction, Specters, Hospitality. Notes on Jaques Derrida and the Writing of History. Hist. graf [online]. 2022, n.59, pp.15-57. Epub 27-Jul-2022. ISSN 1405-0927. https://doi.org/10.48102/hyg.vi59.392.
My purpose with this essay is to link some approaches from Jacques Derrida with historical writing, focusing my attention in four historiographical problems: textuality, deconstruction, specters, and hospitality, which are related with three authors who have become theoretical references of cultural history: Francois Hartog, Joan W Scott, and Michel de Certeau. I also propose that, just like hermeneutics has a Christian origin, deconstruction has an affinity with the Talmudic Jewish tradition. These elements have opened possibilities for the historical discipline, calling for special attention to language, writing, absences, and otherness.
