Resumen

I argue that the 2007 mortgage crisis and the recent sovereign debt crisis in Europe in 2010, makes it more obvious than ever the validity and relevance of the main analytical categories that Marx and Keynes used to think through the real causes that lie at the root of both imbalances. I intend to show the usefulness of thinking about the current financial problems upon the coordinates we have inherited from these authors, coordinates that are far from having been overtaken.
