Resumen
VALENZUELA, Cristina Ofelia. Contributions an analysis the concept of space scales like fundamental instrument in the context of the amplitude of approaches of contemporary Geography. Invest. Geog [online]. 2006, n.59, pp.123-134. ISSN 2448-7279.
The determination of the suitable space scales more for the study of a concrete geographic problem is complex. It basically means the initial selection of a scale by on the others. This as well, suggests the consideration of two questions: how a scale is defined and which is the adapted one for the study of the reality, since what it seems significant or it has sense in a scale does not have why to register in another one with the same intensity or importance. The objective of the present work is to contribute to the discussion on the subject, emphasizing the importance of the conceptualizations on the space scales and their application in the different currents from contemporary geographic thought.
