ASAKURA, Hiroko. Linking Up Violence and Emotions: Experiences of Central American Women Migrants Residing in Houston, Texas. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2016, vol.31, n.89, pp.197-228. ISSN 2007-8358.

This article describes and analyzes the multiple forms of violence faced by Central American women migrants in the entire process of migration, in their places of origin, in transit, and in their destinations. It also looks at the function of emotions in generating certain actions in specific contexts. To do this, the author links Central American women's experiences of violence with the emotional dimension to illustrate that characteristic of emotions.
