Resumen
NAVA, Gabriela. The "Body ruined in a thousand ways" at the underworld depicted on La Moschea. Acta poét [online]. 2009, vol.30, n.1, pp.117-141. ISSN 2448-735X.
Paradoxically, the mocking sagas during the Spanish Golden Age reach the exaltation of epic themes by demythologizing their specific traits. In La Moschea, by José de Villaviciosa, the underworld of flies, fleas and other insects provides an ideal background to corrupt and reformulate characters and motifs of epic universe through a series of scatological elements which explore the notion of "cuerpo estropeado de mil modos" [a body ruined in a thousand ways].
