This research aims to explore the underlying causes of school dropout in two bachelor’s degrees in language teaching at a public university in Mexico. Based on the ending efficiency analysis of 531 students enrolled in the two educational programs, the result of the initial phase of the project indicate that the majority of dropout cases are divided between the first two semesters and the degree period respectively, presenting an opportunity for improvement by supporting graduates in completing their degree work to complete their studies.
