ZANOTTO, Mercedes y GAETA GONZALEZ, Martha Leticia. Personal epistemology and learning in researcher training. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.162, pp.160-176. ISSN 0185-2698.
This work provides a theoretic review of the concept of epistemological beliefs-or personal epistemology-and its aspects. It also reviews the literature on the influence of these beliefs in learning processes, particularly in science, and its relationship to studies on researcher training in Mexico. The purpose of the paper is to offer reflections on the pertinence of educational research in Mexico focused on the personal epistemology of researchers-in-training, in order to understand its influence on their understanding and implementation of theoretic-methodological research processes, and to determine the type of teaching contexts and educational strategies most appropriate for developing a personal epistemology that contributes to the learning of scientific research and researcher training.
