South-South Cooperation (SSC) is not a novel phenomenon given its background goes back more than seventy years. However, there is a lack of information about its operation and impact. This article aims to contribute to the literature by generating evidence on this modality from an empirical perspective based on the analysis of two cases: Colombia and Mexico. The research seeks to explain how far the theoretical approaches of SSC may be applied to their normative, legal and practical process, as well as to the scope of results.
