Nanosciences and nanotechnology (N&N) at the Polytechnic University of Pachuca emerge in a multidisciplinary group of researchers officially recognized under the name of “Nanotechnology, new materials and systems for health, industry and alternative energies”. The group conducts its research at the Laboratory of Nanotechnology, Biological systems and industrial Applications (LaNBA), pioneer in the state of Hidalgo since 2006. Two lines of research develop original projects that include the design, synthesis, characterization and application of nanomaterials for areas in which the group focuses. In the last five years, the group has been in consolidation and has equipped the LaNBA with basic equipment for characterization of nanomaterials produced by chemical methods, the group has improved advanced biosynthesis of nanostructured materials obtained by physical methods for energy applications. A distinctive feature of the group is to develop projects that incorporate the specialties that allow to obtain devices that solve specific technological needs.
