The Jabiru Stork (Jabiru mycteria) is an endangered species in Mexico. On February 2009 we observed two individuals in a wetland located in western Tabasco, Mexico, in the municipality of Huimanguillo (18°01'05.7"N, 93°50'04.7"W; 6 masl). This observation represents the first record of the bird out of its known distribution in Tabasco, and the first reported since 1988.
