Resumen

We present the first records of the Amethyst-throated Hummingbird (Lampornis amethystinus) in the state of Tlaxcala. We trapped and photographed two hummingbirds in "La Malinche" National Park; therefore, we suggest including this species in the lists of birds of Tlaxcala and conducting studies to determine their status in the study area.
