Resumen

TOPPI, Hernán Pablo; DOMINGUEZ SARDOU, Fernando  y  GOMEZ TALAVERA, Patricio Nicolás. Anti-system parties and government coalitions in 2017: a comparative analysis between the Netherlands and Norway. Tla-melaua [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.47, pp.26-43.  Epub 07-Oct-2020. ISSN 2594-0716.

In 2017, the Netherlands and Norway held parliamentary elections. These countries started from similar situations: a proportional electoral system with the presence of large district figures, a multiparty system present at a competitive and governmental level, the existence of anti-system parties among the main political forces and the existence of government coalitions. Despite the similarities, there is a factor of difference: The Progress Party in Norway is part of the Coalition Government, while in the Netherlands the Freedom Party has been excluded from any negotiation. In this document, we offer an analysis of the evolution of these processes based on the theory of connected minimum winning coalitions.

Palabras llave : Netherlands; Norway; government coalitions; parliamentary elections; anti-system parties.
