FORMENTIN ZAYAS, Yanixet Milagro. The electronic signature, its legal reception: Special reference to legislative void in Cuba. Rev. IUS [online]. 2013, vol.7, n.31, pp.104-120. ISSN 1870-2147.
The security of electronic transactions is one of the most controversial aspects in the digital age. From the appearance of the electronic commerce in Cuban Int'l hiring, the interests in safeguarding authenticity and safety has been the Aquilles' heel of legal and trade professionals. The Int'l answer was the promulgation of the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Commerce in 1996 and the UNCITRAL Model Law on Electronic Signatures in 2001. The states issued different normative provisions on the topic and today, we can speak about a legal framework existing in many countries. The Cuban legislative solution is still to come. It is only a project due to mistakes of fate. This is the legal certainty of the electronic signature in Cuba, under conditions different from those existing in other countries.
