Resumen

ADRIANO-ANAYA, María de Lourdes et al. Endorhizospheric nematodes of banana (Musa AAA. Subgroup Cavendish) clone "Grande Naine" in Soconusco, Chiapas, Mexico. Rev. mex. fitopatol [online]. 2008, vol.26, n.2, pp.147-152. ISSN 2007-8080.

To study the composition and dynamics of the endorhizospheric community of nematodes of banana tree (Musa AAA. Subgroup Cavendish) "Grande Naine" clone, in the region of Soconusco, Chiapas, Mexico, two sites were selected: a recently planted one and the other one with three years of production. A hectare of each site was established as study place. Samples of the rhizosphere of 20 plants selected randomly, were collected every 28 days during one year. The nematode community was constituted by nine genera in both locations. In the site with three years of production the lowest population was 2,030 nematodes per 100 g of roots and a the highest 15,556, while in the other one the lowest population was 501 nematodes per 100 g of roots and the highest 13,428. During the time of the study, the genera Radopholus, Tylenchus, Pratylenchus, Hoplolaimus, and Xiphinema were always present, making the majority proportion of the community.
