We present a 26 year-old female in puerperium period, who developed a pulmonary embolism. The diagnoses was confirmed with image test and she was treated with endovascular aspiration of the thrombus, without complications. 22 months follow-up showed satisfactory evolution. It was concluded that in obstetric patients with pulmonary embolism, the endovascular aspiration of thrombus is a safe procedure.
