Lizards of the family Liolaemidae are part of the Amblyomma parvitarsum tick cycle, whose findings are rare and almost anecdotal. So far, only lizards of the genus Liolaemus have been recorded as hosts of larval and nymphal stages. A specimen of Phymaturus punae was captured in Iglesia Department, San Juan Province, Argentina. Inspection in field for ectoparasites was carried out, determining the presence of a tick in the larval stage. In this note, we provide novel information on a new host for larval stages of A. parvitarsum recorded in the province of San Juan, Argentina.
