Colorrectal cancer (CRC) is the third cause of death worldwide, affecting mainly persons over 50 years, although in recent years has been detected an increased incidence in people under this age. In the CRC, prevention, early detection and treatment are very important in order to limit its evolution. The scientific and technical advances occurred in recent years have led to the development of recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of CRC applicable to the Mexican population and carried out by a group of Mexican experts from all areas involved in the care of these patients. Following are the recommendations of the Mexican multidisciplinary panel of experts in CCR.
