Resumen

REYES CHACON, David A.; CADENA LOPEZ, Aydé  y  RIVERA GONZALEZ, Gibrán. The Quality Management System and its relationship with innovation. Inter disciplina [online]. 2022, vol.10, n.26, pp.217-240.  Epub 04-Abr-2022. ISSN 2448-5705.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ceiich.24485705e.2021.25.80975.

For some authors, the Quality Management System (QMS) promotes creativity, adaptation, new processes or products and the discovery of new markets or customers. However, there are also those who claim that the QMS only generates small improvements, satisfies momentary needs or increases bureaucracy. This discussion has been intensified by the relevance of certifications based on ISO 9001, a document that establishes the clauses that define what a QMS is. Based on this, the objective of the work is to make a literature review to identify the indicators set out in the clauses of that standard and to analyze the arguments that the experts offer on them. The snowball technique was used to obtain the literature and, subsequently, a qualitative documentary review was carried out. The findings consist of the identification of certain indicators and a series of arguments that suggest a potential relationship between the QMS and innovation. This implies considering a new research agenda that deepens the study of the elements found, and that allows empirical research to verify the relationships proposed in this work.
