Leonardo da Vinci is one of the most notable members of our civilization. Unparalleled scholar, he was an exceptional painter, architect, inventor and scientist at a time when humanity woke up from the long lethargy of the Middle Ages and was hungry for knowledge and development. In this work, which serves as an introduction to the rest of this issue, a tight synthesis is made of the highlights of his life and his work.
