SA MENEZES, Ana Paula; FRAZAO TEIXEIRA, Ana  y  BARRERA KALHIL, Josefina. Windows Movie Maker Software in the Teaching of Chemistry. Educ. quím [online]. 2010, vol.21, n.3, pp.219-223. ISSN 0187-893X.

The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) emphasizes the potentialy significant interaction that emerges from multimedia in a globalized society. When it comes to ICT and its usage in the teaching learning process of chemistry, the teacher usually thinks of planning a class as a perfect script; the access to it becomes easier through the use of microcomputers and the Internet. The new PC software also contributes to this goal and becomes indispensable for setting classes with motivating technological resources. This article presents the report of an experiment conducted in an Amazonense school using Windows Movie Maker software. The results show that the use of ICT helped to provide the construction of knowledge in students, in particular, using the history of chemistry as a research source. The observations made during the development of the research were not definitive, but served for moving towards some objectives in the teaching-learning process in a meaningful way.

Palabras llave : information and communication technologies ICT; history of the chemistry; teaching-learning process of chemistry; significant learning.
