This article aims to critically and systematically summarize the most important theoretical approaches to the study of class structure and social stratification from the perspective of analytical sociology. To do this, the author creates a dialogue among different contemporary analytical theories associated with the study of social stratification. He identifies innovations and common characteristics with the sociological schools of thought that have traditionally studied class relations.
